**

That moment when you're at the laundromat, waiting for your clothes to come out of the dryer and things start to hit you.
And who you were just doesn't matter anymore. And who you want to be begins to start to become most important. And cutting people out of your life is ok now because they were sucking life out of you and taking you further and further away from what is right.
But it took you sitting at a laundromat with an old lady sitting across from you, staring you down for an hour for you to realize these things.

You are lightening,
volatile energy,
you lit my world on fire--
i threw my baggage into the flame;
the past is an anchor, and i am
tired of being stuck in one place

you are electric,
i take you into my veins;
in a crowd, i see no one else but you:
you are adrenaline, and serotonin,
and i cannot inject you any faster

you are a canyon, and i am calling your
name to hear you echo mine back,
i am not falling, you
 swallowed my heart whole.
now, give my heart back to me
or embrace it fully.
